Profile
Dr. Ernst Walch studied law at the University of Innsbruck, Austria and obtained his doctorate in 1980. He further earned a postgraduate degree (MCJ, 1981) from the New York University School of Law. He was admitted to the NY Bar in 1983 and to the Liechtenstein Bar in 1984. He started his professional career with a New York law firm and also practised several years in Liechtenstein before co-founding Walch & Schurti in 1990/91. Dr. Walch has been distinctively involved in Liechtenstein public life and served in various high political offices, notably as Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Principality of Liechtenstein and President of the Liechtenstein Parliament. In his legal practice, he focuses on estate planning, asset protection, corporate law, foundations and trusts as well as complex litigation and arbitration.
