Profile

His experience in taxation, agreements related to the public sector and financing transactions have led him to participate in an advisory capacity in the most important governmental tenders. He has further engaged in rendering tax advice in public and private bond offerings in relation to the public sector, financial and investment structuring, public law advisory services, trusts, advice to pension and investment funds, bank transactions in general and corporate restructuring and acquisitions.

He is Professor of Tax Law (Grade V) and of Financial Law both at undergraduate and postgraduate level at Facultad de Derecho de la Universidad de la Republica.

- Member of the International Fiscal Association. Director of the Tax Magazine of the Institute of Tax Studies. General Secretary of the Latin-American Institute of Tax Law.
- Director of the Institute of Public Finance from UDELAR (Universidad de la Republica) (from 2020 up to 2021)

Recognized among prestigious international legal publications such as Chambers & Partners, PLC Which Lawyerâ, Latin Lawyer, Who's Who Legal for his outstanding performance in Tax matters. He has been acknowledged as LACCA Approved 2022.
He has also been recognized by the prestigious international publication International Tax Review Review - Euromoney as well as Americas Tax Practice Leader of the Year.
