Martin Brodey's practice focuses on M&A, competition law and "liberalized markets" (energy, telecom, ...). He has advised on a wide range of M&A transactions, including privatisations, in Austria and in Central Europe. He founded and developed the firm's telecom team which offers regulatory advice to a number of national and international telecom operators. He is regularly involved in corporate transactions, including acquisitions linked with public tender offers (take-over law) and corporate restructurings.
Martin Brodey's practice in the area of competition law extends to all aspects of Austrian and European anti-trust law, in particular, merger control, cartel law, cases involving the abuse of market power as well as agency and distributorship, covering out-of-court advice as well as representation before anti-trust authorities and litigation. Industries covered are, in particular, the energy and telecommunication sector as well as the pharmaceutical industry.
