Martin Brodey graduated from the University of Vienna and from the University of Virginia, School of Law (Charlottesville, Virginia). He joined DORDA BRUGGER JORDIS as an associate in 1991 and has been a partner since 1995, leading the firm's international M&A desk.

Martin Brodey's practice focuses on M&A, competition law and "liberalized markets" (energy, telecom, ...). He has advised on a wide range of M&A transactions, including privatisations, in Austria and in Central Europe. He founded and developed the firm's telecom team which offers regulatory advice to a number of national and international telecom operators. He is regularly involved in corporate transactions, including acquisitions linked with public tender offers (take-over law) and corporate restructurings.

Martin Brodey's practice in the area of competition law extends to all aspects of Austrian and European anti-trust law, in particular, merger control, cartel law, cases involving the abuse of market power as well as agency and distributorship, covering out-of-court advice as well as representation before anti-trust authorities and litigation. Industries covered are, in particular, the energy and telecommunication sector as well as the pharmaceutical industry.
