Miro Senica is also an arbitrator at the Permanent Court of Arbitration attached to the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia and at the European Centre for Dispute Resolution, Ljubljana (ECDR). He is also Official Examiner for the Slovenian State Bar Exam at the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Slovenia. Miro Senica founded Parus Foundation in 2005 and remains its President ever since. Annually Parus Foundation offers scholarships for at least two postgraduate law students who want to continue their education in the area of commercial law and the law of legal and economic sciences at the most prestigious law universities in the world. Miro Senica was also for one mandate the governor of American Chamber of Commerce in Slovenia.
Significant AccomplishmentsMiro Senica received his Bachelor of Laws (UN) in 1982 at University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Law and was entered into the official register of attorneys in 1986, thus becoming the youngest person to become an attorney on 20 million-people-market of ex-Yugoslavia.
After becoming an attorney Miro Senica founded Law firm Miro Senica and Attorneys and has been managing it from its early beginnings in 1986. He was closely involved in the development of the organizational structure of the firm and all strategic decisions, while the firm has grown to become one of the biggest law firms in Slovenia.
Before becoming an attorney, in the period from 1983 to 1985, he occupied the position of Head of the Department for Cooperation with Foreign Markets at one of at-the-time the biggest import-export companies in ex-Yugoslavia Jugotekstil-Impex. His main activities and responsibilities were development of market for sales of heavy textiles in the USA, where he increased the export of textile from insignificent numbers to 100 millions USD in only two years time.
