New Advisory Partner in Estudio Beccar Varela

Estudio Beccar Varela has reincorporated María Benson to its team, appointing her advisory partner. Benson has over twenty years of experience working in law firms. She focuses her practice on corporate law, mergers & acquisitions, project finance and debt restructuring.

María Benson started her career at Estudio Beccar Varela in 1997. She has advised important companies such as Banco de Galicia, VISA (now Prisma Medios de Pago), Telefónica, Bodega Norton and DHL Exel, both on general corporate advice matters and mergers & acquisitions. She participated in several M&A deals, including those involving Blaisten, Bodegas Nieto Senetiner, Compañía de Radiocomunicaciones Móviles (Movicom), Compañía Tucumana de Fósforos, EDENOR, Empresa Distribuidora de Electricidad de Mendoza, Freddo, and Obras Sanitarias Mendoza, among others. Furthermore, Benson has broad experience counseling banks and financial institutions on project finance and debt restructuring, having participated in the following cases: AECSA (Autopistas al Sur), Grupo Arcor, BioSidus, Empresa Distribuidora Eléctrica Regional, IMPSA, Lagomarsino, Grupo Lávaque, Metrovías, Pilar del Este, Trilenium, and Vizzolini, among others. In 2008 she was named partner at EBV. From 2010 to the beginning of 2017, she was a partner of Benson Natale law firm. She advised the Ministerio del Interior y
Transporte (Interior and Transport Ministry) and the Sociedad Operadora Ferroviaria S.E. (state-owned passenger train service operator).
