Julie Domike Named to Environmental Law Institute's Leadership Council

May, 2018 - Dallas, Texas

The Environmental Law Institute (ELI) named Haynes and Boone, LLP Partner Julie Domike to its Leadership Council.

Based in the firm's Washington, D.C., office, Domike counsels a variety of companies, including refineries, engine manufacturers, independent power producers, fuel producers and farm equipment makers, on a wide range of environmental regulatory matters, including complex negotiations with the U.S. Department of Justice and U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. She previously served as a lawyer and manager at EPA headquarters.

ELI said it selects members for its Leadership Council based on their commitment of resources and time to the institute's vision of a healthy environment, prosperous economies and vibrant communities founded on the rule of law. Members include some of the more-prominent environment, energy and natural resource figures in the nation.

Domike joins Catharine De Lacy of Albermarle Corporation and Judith Praitis of Sidley Austin LLP as the newest members of ELI's Leadership Council.

"We are so fortunate to have these outstanding professionals join the ranks of our Leadership Council," ELI Leadership Council Kathy Robb said. "ELI's vision is a healthy environment, prosperous economies and vibrant communities founded on the rule of law. As esteemed thought leaders in the field of environmental law and policy, these newest members will bring valuable guidance and expertise to our organization as we continue our path making law work for people, places and the planet."

In addition to her leadership role with ELI, Domike is an active member of the Environment and Natural Resources Section of the American Bar Association, serving on the Air Quality and Administrative Law committees and as an air quality subject-matter expert for the section.

In 2018, Domike was named among the Top 50 Women Lawyers in the Washington, D.C, Super Lawyers directory, published by Thomson Reuters. She also has been included in The Best Lawyers in America, Woodward/White, Inc., for Environmental Law and Litigation-Environmental (2006-2018).
