The first in this Asia Pacific region series focuses on the COVID-19 pandemic and measures employers have implemented to protect employees and minimize redundancy, along with procedures for remote and in-office work arrangements based on latest government and legislative changes.
- Implemented various government sponsored employee subsidy schemes to protect employment and assist businesses to open without layoffs.
- Recommended employers to implement policies for confidentiality, monitoring and occupational safety for remote working.
- Required a vaccine pass allowing access to specified premises only to those vaccinated, this may mean unvaccinated employees who work in specified premises who cannot work remotely will need to be terminated.
