Head of our Employment Practice Group, Neil works directly with clients on employment law issues and collaborates with the firm's experts in pensions, tax, employee incentives and immigration to deliver our wider human resources service. Neil has strong experience of assisting clients to navigate through the complexities of employment and equality law.
He has particular expertise in managing complex business transfers and restructuring programmes, involving TUPE and redundancy, collective consultation and industrial relations issues and insolvency. He provides excellent corporate support. Neil is a strategic thinker and also keenly pragmatic and commercial. Neil is an experienced advocate in both the employment and employment appeals tribunals.
He has also been involved in cases before the Court of Session, English High Court, Supreme Court, CJEU and ECHR and has also been successful in using mediation as a route to resolve disputes promptly and commercially. Chambers and Partners, which lists Neil as a Leader in his Field, remarks that he is "extremely sharp and knowledgeable as well as an "excellent communicator".
