Supreme Court Attorney, Kristín Edwald, joined LEX in 2002. Upon completion of a law degree from the University of Iceland, Ms. Edwald worked at the Counsel Office, later Logos Legal Services, until she became a legal expert in the Economic Crime Unit at the National Commissioner of Icelandic Police in 2000. Ms. Edwald is among Iceland´s leading experts in the field of law of tort and insurance law. She also has vast experience in the field of corporate law, specializing in due diligence on medium and large sized enterprises and corporate groups. Ms. Edwald is one of the most experienced litigation lawyers in Iceland having extensive experience of litigation before the district courts and the Supreme Court of Iceland. Ms. Edwald has also experience in litigation before the European Court of Human Rights.
