Francisco Darmandrail is a senior associate of Beccar Varela, having joined the firm in 2014.
He focuses on White Collar and Corporate Crime. He has broad experience in consulting and litigation, offering comprehensive strategic advice in all areas of criminal law, both to domestic and international clients. Regarding litigation, his professional practices has been focused on conflict management in pretrial negotiations and offering procedural strategy advice for clients appearing in court.
From April to October 2019, Francisco worked as a foreign associate at Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP (NYC, USA), with the firm’s Compliance Department.
He started his professional career working as a paralegal at the Federal Criminal & Correctional Court No. 1 of San Isidro, Buenos Aires Province (2008 – 2010). From 2010 to 2014 he worked at the Federal Criminal & Correctional Court No. 5 of the City of Buenos Aires, holding different positions. In 2012 he was promoted to deputy clerk.
Francisco is an assistant teacher of Criminal Law at the Universidad Católica Argentina.
He is a member of the Buenos Aires Bar Association, the San Isidro Bar Association and the San Martín Federal Chamber. Hence, he is qualified to practice law both in the City and in the Province of Buenos Aires, as well as in federal matters all throughout Argentina.
Francisco obtained his Law degree from the Universidad Católica Argentina (2013) and a Master Degree in Criminal Law from the Universidad Austral (2018). In 2017, he got a postgraduate diploma on “White Collar and Economic Crimes” from the Association of Lawyers of Buenos Aires (AABA).
