Mr. Allende has been Rohatyn Group Chief Regional Legal Counsel responsible for all illiquid funds doing not only their transactional work but fund formation and fundraising. He has recently worked in launching a TRG’s LATM Private Equity Fund (regional PE fund) and Balam Fund, a renewable energy fund for México. In addition he was also responsible for all compliance and legal matters of TRG’s regional offices (Argentina, Uruguay, Peru and Brasil and Mexico). He has worked in several investments on agro players, pharmaceutical companies, real estate projects, etc.
Mr Allende returned as a Partner at Estudio Beccar Varela, to continue developing his practice mainly serving funds but also high net worth families and their family offices. Mr Allende also spent one year as a foreign associate at Shearman & Sterling (2000-2001) and as a summer intern at Hugues, Hubbard & Reed LLP (1997), both in New York. He graduated as a lawyer at Universidad Catolica Argentina, in Buenos Aires, Argentina and also got an Masters Degree (LLM) from Duke University School of Law, Durham, North Carolina (class of 2000).
Mr. Allende has been top ranked in forty under forty ranking of revista apertura (argentina) in years 2007, 2008 and 2010 and also awarded in 2011 by Lawyer International Law Office (ILO) in association with the Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC), as the best individual M&A lawyer for LATAM.
