Taylor Rex Robertson is a versatile trial lawyer who represents plaintiffs and defendants in state and federal court. His diverse group of clients includes Fortune 100 companies, international airlines, the National Football League, major hotels, restaurant groups, food and beverage franchisors and distributors, commercial landlords and tenants, financial institutions, hospitals, and medical practices.
Taylor practices complex litigation related to contracts, intellectual property, real estate, finance, franchising, healthcare, landlord-tenant, oil and gas, bankruptcy, construction, and insurance. In the courtroom, Taylor has successfully argued motions for summary judgment, motions related to discovery disputes, and obtained early dismissals for defendants all while utilizing new technology to present evidence to judges and juries.
Taylor is also a certified sommelier through the Court of Master Sommeliers. Prior to law school, he worked in almost every position in the food and beverage industry—from award-winning bartender to managing a wine bistro. Coupled with his theatre background, those experiences set the stage for Taylor to develop strong advocacy and public speaking skills that allow him to effectively communicate with clients, judges, and juries during the litigation process. Taylor’s experience in the restaurant and hospitality industry also affords him a creative perspective when representing clients in the service and hospitality industry.
In addition to serving clients at Haynes and Boone, Taylor is the Vice Chair of the Texas High School Mock Trial Competition and serves as one of the lead case writers for the annual statewide competition. He also volunteers with Miss Dallas, a local preliminary competition to the Miss America Competition, and has represented numerous pro bono clients in civil and criminal matters.
Taylor competed in the American Association of Justice Trial Advocacy competition throughout law school, received the Outstanding Trial Advocacy Award at graduation, and was unanimously selected by his law school faculty for the Outstanding Senior Law School Student Award presented by the Oklahoma Bar Association.
