Profile

Arthur Duus is Cand. Jur. of the University of Bergen and holds an LL.M. degree from Harvard Law School. He works mostly on aquaculture matters, contracts and litigation.

Arthur has wide experience within the aquaculture business and devotes most of his time to this industry. He holds various board positions in seafood companies and undertakes arbitration assignments in addition to ordinary counseling and litigation.

Arthur has been close on the seafood industry since 1990, and has acted for many of the leading players in the business, both listed companies and privately owned enterprises. He has in-depth knowledge and experience with the regulatory framework of the industry, including the newly adopted “traffic light system” and the regulation on licenses, production sites, inspections and sanctions.

Finansavisen has previously appointed him as one of Norway’s leading lawyers within Fisheries/Aquaculture, and as of today he is ranked by Chambers as one of the leading lawyers within “Aquaculture and Fisheries”.
