Profile

Janet Young, is the Chief Operating Officer of MinterEllison. Janet is responsible for driving a high quality, integrated business services capability to underpin the firm's strategic client focus. She has oversight of the firm's non-legal functions, including finance, know-how, technology, corporate services, people and development and business development.

Ms Young has international financial and strategic management experience with leading companies, primarily in the management consulting and professional services sector. Most recently, she was Global COO of Herbert Smith Freehills, where she successfully led the integration following the merger of Herbert Smith and Freehills. She was appointed to that role following a number of years as the COO of Freehills where she successfully led a number of firm-wide improvement programs.
