Profile
Chung Hwan Choi’s practice focuses on corporate, M&A, information technology and intellectual property law and entertainment law. Mr. Choi represents a wide variety of multinational clients including those from the USA, Europe and Japan. For reference purpose, he has represented UIP, Warner Brothers, Walt Disney, 20th Century Fox, EMI, Warner Music, Sony Music, Universal Music, BMG, The New York Times, Loews Cineplex, Blizzard, Gungho Online Entertainment, Suntory, Kyosera Mita, Nikko, Shinchosha, Kidzania, Planet Hollywood and The Really Useful Group. He is frequently invited as a speaker on issues pertaining to M&A, copyright, the internet and new media, and advises the Korean government on cultural and internet policies. He was nominated as a Leading Individual in Intellectual Property Practice in Korea by Legal 500.
Mr. Choi is also actively involved in various bar associations. He has served as the Vice President (International) of the Korean Bar Association and is currently serving as the Secretary General of the International Association of Korean Lawyers (IAKL) and as a Council Member of the Legal Practice Division at the International Bar Association (IBA). He is also a member of the Executive Committee of LawAsia and a Vice Chair of the Asia Pacific Committee at the Section of International Law of the American Bar Association (ABA).
