Profile
I am a founding Partner of Springboard, having established the business in July 2005 alongside Justin.

Having spent my professional career until 2005 in "big four" accountancy firms, including Ernst & Young and PriceWaterhouseCoopers, I had seen them progressively move out of their local market places. It became apparent to me that owner managed businesses, entrepreneurs and shareholders of privately owned companies had poor access to strategic advice particularly when it came to raising finance, buying and selling businesses. My vision was to seek to address this void by forming Springboard.

My career began in 1994 at Coopers & Lybrand, Birmingham (UK) where I qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1997. From there, I joined Ernst & Young's Corporate Finance team in 1998 initially specialising in management buy-outs, corporate acquisitions and fund raising. To give me further insight into the private equity market I undertook a 15 month secondment at Bridgepoint Capital, a leading mid-market venture capitalist, in 2001. This experience gave me valuable insights into their investment process and the depth of debate and strategic thought that goes into making a successful investment. I bring this experience to the projects that I lead. On my return to Ernst & Young, I became a leading member of the Midlands team before establishing Springboard.
