Kevin is a giver of practical and useful legal and business advice and a trusted advisor to many of New England's finest middle-market manufacturers, distributors, service providers and technology companies. He maintains a sophisticated and diverse practice with particular focus on transactional representation, including mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, the structuring of joint ventures and strategic relationships, and angel, venture, private equity, commercial lender and other financings. Kevin counsels clients in the food and beverage, technology, telecommunications, energy, engineering, transportation, manufacturing and professional services sectors on a broad range of business issues, including on-going general representation, licensing and intellectual property, contracts and commercial matters.

In his more than 24 years of practice, the principal focus of Kevin’s practice has been M&A, and he has negotiated and closed numerous mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures and similar transactions. In recent years, as many clients have come to view him as a valued and trusted advisor, Kevin has served as outside general counsel, and advised them regarding angel, venture, private equity and other financings; contract and commercial matters; and licensing and other intellectual property matters.

Outside of the office, Kevin is an active member of the community. Kevin serves as a member of the Board of Directors of Art BeCAUSE, and of Make-a-Wish Massachusetts and Rhode Island, and he is a Trustee of The Timothy O'Connell Foundation, which he and his wife Joanne founded in honor and loving memory of their son Timothy. The Timothy O'Connell Foundation is dedicated to the funding of research of cures for acute myeloid leukemia, the cancer from which Timothy died in 2008 at the age of 10. Kevin is also a member of Pedals for Pediatrics, and is the Chair of the St. Mary's Parish (Holliston, MA) Cemetery Committee. He has coached all four of his sons in organized youth baseball, basketball and soccer leagues, and recently, his sons have been teaching Kevin how to play golf, a game he has played for over 35 years.
