After finishing his studies, Marcos Araujo began as a jurist in the European Documentation Center of the Universidad de Alicante (1988-1989). He joined Garrigues in January 1990 and was appointed partner and Head of the EU and Competition Law Department in 1997.

Teaching Experience

Marcos Araujo has extensive teaching experience; particularly worthy of note is his work as a lecturer on the Master’s Degree in Legal Counseling (*) at the Instituto de Empresa (Madrid), and on several courses and Master’s Degrees in various Spanish cities. He has been a Judge for the European Law Moot Court Competition (an international competition for EU law specialists) since 2002.
