Michael regularly advises local fiduciaries and high net worth individuals wishing to establish structures in Guernsey. A particular area of interest is advising upon and acting as trustee of charitable trusts.
Michael is a member of the Association of Contentious Trust and Probate Specialists, a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and is an Honorary member of the Association of Fellows and Legal Scholars of the Centre for International Legal Studies. He is a former Chairman of the Guernsey Bar Council.
A further area of speciality is advising upon and acting as a director for captive insurance companies.
He was named as a prominent figure in the Citywealth Leaders List 2014.

Michael was called to the English Bar in 1980 and qualified as a Guernsey Advocate the following year. He has been with the firm since 1984.
