Profile

Mohammad practices commercial litigation with an emphasis on real estate matters, serving as Leader of the Real Estate Litigation Group. He handles a diverse range of litigation that includes lease and contract actions, partition actions, debt collection cases, partnership disputes, voidable transfer claims and bankruptcy matters. Mohammad also represents Santa Clara Stadium Authority, the public agency owner of Levi's Stadium, in multiple lawsuits regarding the Stadium and its operations.

With litigation experience spanning a broad spectrum of industries, Mohammad has represented and advised clients that include real estate owners, managers and developers, shopping centers, health and senior care providers, and public agencies. Mohammad has litigated the enforcement of leases as well as business and sales agreements to recover money or regain possession of property, and has experience using provisional remedies to obtain faster results for clients. He has also worked on numerous eviction cases for both commercial and residential premises.

Mohammad commits time to providing pro bono legal services, and has served on the Board of Directors for the Justice and Diversity Center of the Bar Association of San Francisco. He also served for the Bar Association of San Francisco's Courthouse Landlord/Tenant Project, conducting settlement negotiations on behalf of low income tenants defending against evictions.

Professional Career

Significant Accomplishments
Successfully litigated a Rent Arbitration to increase the annual rent owed by the 49ers for Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara.

Successfully defended a shopping center landlord and property developer in a six-month arbitration pertaining to breach of contract claims, property tax issues, and damages in an alleged amount of $300 million.

Represent community, regional, and international shopping centers in lease disputes including those relating to non-payment of rent, exclusives, tenant improvements, and defaults.

Represent landlords and property owners in national bankruptcy matters.

Represent clients in debt collection cases and enforcement of contracts, including successfully obtaining provisional remedies and attachment orders.
