Ricardo Gama has a broad experience in litigation, working in commercial and contract disputes, bankruptcy, torts, and administrative matters (public biddings, regulatory disputes and etc.). In addition to his practice with the Brazilian judiciary system, Ricardo is involved in national and international arbitrations, as well as in administrative disputes. He also works with Labor Law, participating in major labor claims and litigation with Unions.

Ricardo has also participated in several due diligences involving the sale and purchase of companies and assets, assessing the exposures associated with civil and labor liabilities, identifying internal policies and practices in violation of the law, and negotiating the agreements with the counter parties.

In the consultancy field, Ricardo has acted reviewing and negotiating contracts, counseling clients working with public companies and branches, and advising clients in the labor area, working with legal and human resources departments in order to reduce their contingencies by implementing better policies and practices.

On December 24, 2020, the Brazilian President sanctioned, with some vetoes, an amendment to Law 11,101/2005, which governs judicial reorganizations, pre-packaged reorganizations and bankruptcy liquidations of businessmen and companies. The vetoes can still be overthrown by the Brazilian Congress...
