Profile

Yolemny Cruz joined Pellerano & Herrera in 2017 as a Senior Associate of our firms dispute resolution department. She has over 12 years of experience in legal practice, focusing on representing companies in the areas of criminal law, labour, social security, civil and commercial law.

Also she led discussion forums on regulatory changes in business associations and advised companies interested in opening commercial operations and acquiring tax benefits in the Dominican Republic and Haiti. During her professional career, she has handled a large number of immigration and family law matters.

She has advised companies in crisis situations due to environment changes or unforeseeable situations.
Among her representative alternative resolution matters are: development of the legal strategy for the closure of 190 food franchises nationwide; together with various industrial sector associations, development of the strategy to prevent the installation of a sanitary landfill in the vicinity of pharmaceutical and food companies in the municipality of Haina, San Cristóbal Province; and, participation in several negotiations of distributor contracts for the Dominican Republic and Haiti.

Education
Yolemny Cruz received her Bachelor of Laws, magna cum laude, from Universidad Iberoamericana and in 2013 completed her Masters in Civil Procedures from the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM). She has participated in various courses on topics related to legal strategies, civil and commercial law, family law, immigration law, labor law and social security, among others.
