Kudun and Partners represented The Erawan Group Public Company Limited (SET:ERW), one of the most renowned and longest-standing SET-listed real estate developers in Thailand, on its divestiture of the Renaissance Koh Samui Resort and Spa and Ibis Samui Bophut Hotel to Infinity Hospitality Holding Company Limited and Infinity North Samui Co., Ltd., affiliated entities of SET-listed Siamgas and Petrochemicals Public Company Limited (SET:SGP), for a total value of approximately THB 925 million.
These transactions represented a combination of both share-sale and assets-sale transactions which required detailed and well-organized synchronization to ensure a smooth and commercially viable transition of the operating assets to their respective new owners. The success of these transactions has substantially helped the client’s re-allocation of business portfolios and working capital amid the great impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The transaction was led by Kudun Sukhumananda, partner and co-head of Corporate and M&A Practice, together with a senior associate, Peerasanti Somritutai, and assisted by associates; Chavisa Jinanarong, Chayakorn Boonsri, Ploypapas Nakata and Nichapat Anantaseriwittaya.
