EG Cities Live: Manchester
  by Shoosmiths LLP

More than two years on from the first work-from-home order of the Covid-19 pandemic, business leaders are still grappling with changes to working practices that one executive says could lead to a two-lane economy in which swathes of workers never return to the office.

At a recent panel discussion as part of EG’s Cities Live programme, real estate disputes partner, Kirsty Black, joined Dan Hyde, development director at NOMA, Caleb Parker, founder at Bold, James Evans, national head of office agency at Savills and Simon Bedford, partner, FA – real assets advisory at Deloitte, discussed the new normal and what that means for the provision and operation of office space. The panel also looked at what both businesses and the built environment need to do if they want to boost this percentage back to more normal pre-pandemic levels.
