According to last week's news reports, the President of the Provincial Government of Vojvodina, Igor Mirovic, met the Ambassador of Bosnia & Herzegovina, Lazar Mirkic, in Belgrade on Thursday, 15 September, for the purpose of discussing Bosnian interest for Vojvodina's food products and the potential cooperation in the area of tourism.
The two officials have been reported as exchanging views on the current developments in the region, with a special focus on the issues relating to economic developments and the overall improvement of relations between Serbia and Bosnia & Herzegovina. In naming a couple of specific areas that would facilitate further cooperation, Mirovic proposed for new forms of trade to be introduced, as well as for a modernisation of the road infrastructure, which would contribute greatly to a wide array of commercial activities – at the same time going hand in hand with some of the viewpoints Karanovic & Nikolic has already expressed.
The Bosnian ambassador extended an invitation to Mirovic for him to visit Sarajevo and organise a presentation of Vojvodina's business environment in the Federation's capital.
