ANNA Mining, the New Integral Mining Management System

The ANM, launches ANNA Mining, the digital platform will replace the Colombian Mining Cadastre and will start operating in phases.

On December 13, 2019, the National Mining Agency (ANM) launched the new Comprehensive Mining Management System: ANNA Mining (ANNA), which will replace the Colombian Mining Cadastre.

ANNA is, then, the digital platform that integrates environmental mining information, in order to promote the sustainable development of mining activities in Colombia, promoting environmental protection, legality and transparency. With this tool, the ANM hopes to energize, update and streamline mining management in Colombia in a safe and efficient way, which means that now citizens, investors and different players in the mining sector will be able to access a single dynamic and updated platform, to file, track and efficiently manage your concession contract proposals, mining titles and any other process before the ANM.

ANNA, incorporates all the environmental layers of the country, so it guarantees that the areas to be granted by the ANM through concession contracts, are located where the environmental authorities allow it, thus avoiding delays and difficulties due to additional procedures regarding of protected areas. In addition, it will reduce the processing time of the concession contract proposals.

The ANM has announced that, in accordance with the provisions of article 2.2.5.1.2.5 of Decree 2078 of November 18, 2019, ANNA will enter into operation in phases. The beginning of each phase will be informed through the ANM website  HTTPS://WWW.ANM.GOV.CO/).

Thus, as of January 15, 2020, ANNA will allow different actors in the mining sector to buy PINs and file concession contract proposals.
