World Services Group (WSG) awarded Mark J. Harty of LCS & Partners, the 2019 WSG Outstanding Member of the Year Award at the 18th Annual Meeting in Washington, D.C.
Mark Harty is Senior Counsel at LCS & Partners in Taiwan, and has been a member of WSG since 2005. Mr. Harty has been an effective member of WSG over the years and has contributed greatly to the growth and success of the organization. He served on the Asia Regional Council, and has served on the WSG Board of Directors since 2013. He was Chairman of the Board from 2017 – 2018 and acted in the Chairman Emeritus capacity for the 2018 - 2019 year. In his roles on the Board of Directors, Mr. Harty has been instrumental in building relationships with firms and professionals across the WSG network to include significant cross discipline referrals initiating in the Asia as well as strengthening the region as a whole.

As Senior Counsel at LCS & Partners in Taiwan, Mr. Harty focuses his practice on mergers and acquisitions; syndicated lending, project finance and other bank finance; insurance; private equity; derivatives and structured finance; capital markets; foreign direct investment; and debt restructuring.
His experience includes representing Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. and Silver Lake Partners in connection with the $2.6 billion USD acquisition of the semiconductor product business of Agilent Technologies Inc.; representing creditors of Asia Pulp & Paper in the restructuring of approximately $6 billion USD of debt; BASF, Sinopec and the Project company in connection with the financing of an integrated petrochemical facility in China.
