Shoosmiths Builds Corporate M&A tax Capability with New London Partner

Leading UK law firm Shoosmiths has built up its tax offering with the hire of corporate M&A tax specialist, Laura Board.

Laura, who has 11 years’ experience of advising clients on tax issues, will be based at the firm’s London office.

She joins as a Partner from law firm Bird & Bird. Previous to that, Laura trained and practised at Nabarro.

Comprising of 14 lawyers, accountants and tax advisers, the team advises on UK and multi-jurisdictional transactions including mergers and acquisitions, reorganisations, restructuring and demergers; employee incentives and share schemes; EIS and VCT schemes; and real estate tax, including tax structuring of complex development projects.
