On 25 May 2021, Charles Amar (DFDL Cambodia Head of Real Estate & Construction Practice) was pleased to moderate the opening panel discussion of the Good City Foundation event “Rainmaking Cambodia – Co-Creating Common Values of Sustainable Real Estate”. Charles introduced the esteemed panelists to the attendees and introduced the topic: Urban Economic Planning: prospects and challenges facing the real estate market in the post-pandemic world and beyond (investment, affordability, digital transformation). Charles directed key questions to the panel of real estate experts eliciting fascinating responses and stimulating interesting discussion on the primary challenges faced by the real estate industry in the wake of the pandemic, the status of Cambodia’s digital transformation, the future of public investment infrastructure in the country, how the market is currently looking from an investor perspective and helpful tips to identify promising real estate opportunities.

The numerous event attendees gained a great deal of knowledge on the latest trends in urban planning and practical steps on maximizing investor opportunities in Cambodian real estate presented by these unprecedented and unusual times.
