October, 2021 - Houston, Texas

World Services Group (WSG) is pleased to announce that Carey Olsen, a leading offshore law firm, has joined the WSG network for the jurisdictions of Bermuda and the Cayman Islands. The addition of this prominent law firm exemplifies the purposeful global expansion of WSG membership.

Carey Olsen, founded in 1898, advises on the laws of the offshore jurisdictions of Bermuda, the Cayman Islands, the British Virgin Islands (BVI), Guernsey and Jersey, from a network of nine international offices. The firm is one of the oldest offshore law firms and provides a full service offering working across all aspects of banking and finance, corporate and M&A, trusts and private wealth, investment funds, insolvency, restructuring and dispute resolution.

With the support of 62 partners and more than 250 lawyers, Carey Olsen works alongside all of the major international law firms, accountancy firms and insolvency practitioners. The firm advises nine out of 10 of both the world’s largest private equity firms and the world’s largest banks.

“By becoming a member of World Services Group, we hope to collaborate with like-minded professionals who are interested in, and who have a need for, offshore legal services. We look forward to developing mutual new business opportunities with fellow WSG member firms,” said Carey Olsen Partner James Noble, who leads the firm's litigation, insolvency and restructuring practice in Asia and advises on Bermuda, BVI and Cayman Islands law.

“On behalf WSG, I want to welcome Carey Olsen as our newest legal services member. This highly-respected firm will provide WSG members and clients the opportunity to benefit from offshore expertise offered by a top-tier team with an international reputation for banking and finance work,” said WSG Chair Emeritus Ramon Moyano, who led the team on forming this successful partnership.
