Hanson Bridgett Announces Change to Executive Leadership Team with Laura Long Appointed Chief Operating Officer

January 3, 2022 (San Francisco, CA)Hanson Bridgett LLP, an AmLaw 200 law firm servicing clients from our home in California and beyond, is pleased to announce a change to its executive leadership team.

Laura Long has been appointed Hanson Bridgett's Chief Operating Officer (COO)  effective January 1, 2022. Laura previously served as the firm's Chief Financial Officer (CFO), and in her new role, will continue to oversee and direct the financial activities of the firm.

The COO role was previously held by James Nichols for more than 20 years. Nichols will serve as an advisor to the firm's Executive Leadership Team through January 2022 to ensure a smooth leadership transition.

Long is a graduate of Northeastern University with a bachelor's degree in leadership and dual minors in political science and management. Previously, she served as the Executive Director for Rubin and Rudman LLP for more than a decade. She has a strong background in financial analysis, project management, and strategic planning. She has served as the firm's CFO since 2018.
