Hanson Bridgett Announces More Leadership Changes and Attorney Promotions

January 20, 2022 (San Francisco, CA)Hanson Bridgett LLP, an AmLaw 200 law firm for all of California, is pleased to announce additional changes to firm leadership as well as attorney promotions effective January 1, 2022. The firm announced other management changes earlier this year with the promotion of Laura Long to Chief Operating Officer.

Partners Alfonso Estrada and Pat Glenn were named co-leaders of the firm’s Labor and Employment Section. Jahmal Davis led the Section since 2016. Previously, Glenn led the Section from 2000-2011 and he, Estrada and Davis have been working closely together to ensure a smooth transition of Section leadership.

Estrada joined the firm in 2021 and is based in the firm’s Los Angeles office. He represents both public and private sector clients in matters involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, First Amendment violations, and more. He has a wealth of trial experience and previously worked with law enforcement as a criminal prosecutor. In addition to the litigation and white collar defense side of his practice, Estrada conducts and oversees investigations related to employee misconduct and harassment. Finally Estrada advises clients concerning regulatory enforcement matters.

Glenn has been at the firm for 30 years and is based in San Francisco. He has extensive experience in labor relations counseling and collective bargaining negotiations and handles proceedings before the National Labor Relations Board and other federal and state administrative agencies. He has represented employers in union organizing campaigns, collective bargaining negotiations, arbitrations and other traditional labor practice areas. He is also an employment litigator with first-chair trial experience in wrongful termination and employment discrimination cases.

Matthew Peck, Payam Saljoughian and Daren Shaver were promoted to the partnership and 10 associates were elevated to senior counsel status at the firm.

Peck joined the firm’s Litigation Section in 2012. His practice involves high stakes commercial, employee benefits, and employment disputes with an emphasis on the defense of class, representative and multiparty actions. Peck earned his J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law and his B.A. from Gonzaga University.

Saljoughian, an attorney in the firm’s Health Section since 2012, represents the firm’s health care clients in litigation and transactional matters. He works with hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living facilities, continuing care communities, and other senior care and housing providers. He advises them on a broad range of issues such as state and federal licensure and regulatory compliance, resident disputes, Medicare and Medi-Cal reimbursement and certification, and contract drafting. He received his J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law and his B.S. from the University of California, Santa Cruz.

Shaver joined the firm’s Business Section in 2019. His experience includes matters spanning areas such as fund formation, tax credits, real estate, venture capital, partnerships, and tax exempt entities—including federal and state income tax matters. Shaver earned his LL.M. from New York University School of Law, his J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School and a B.A. from Union College.
