Jane Bockus Receives San Antonio Bar Association’s Award of Excellence

Dykema is proud to announce that Jane Bockus was selected by the San Antonio Bar Association (SABA) as the 2022 recipient of the Joe Frazier Brown Award of Excellence. Bockus will be recognized at the San Antonio Bar Association’s annual Gala on September 24, 2022.
According to SABA, the Joe Frazier Brown Award of Excellence recognizes an attorney who exemplifies all that is good about the legal profession. The individual should demonstrate the highest level of professionalism, exceptional skills as a counselor and advocate and such personal attributes as honor, integrity, service and intelligence. The person should be a model of the Texas Lawyer’s Creed and an inspiration for others in serving clients and fulfilling their responsibility to the legal system.
Bockus is a sought-after and successful advocate for companies across the country in bet-the-company litigation. She has extensive regional knowledge and experience for litigation involving mass torts and claims of serious injuries. Her work often involves complex issues of product liability and first-party insurance claims and is particularly adept at working with expert witnesses.
In 2021, Bockus was inducted as a Fellow into The American College of Trial Lawyers, one of the premier legal associations in North America. Throughout her career, she has received numerous accolades from S.A. Scene, San Antonio Magazine, The Best Lawyers in America, and Bexar County Women’s Bar Association.
Bockus earned a J.D. from St. Mary’s University School of Law and a B.A. from Southern Methodist University.
