* José Andrés is partner of Brigard & Urrutia, a top law firm in Colombia, after being director of the taxes area.
* He has 12 years of experience in local and international tax law and tax planning with special emphasis on business restructuring, international tax services, tax consulting, and litigation. José Andrés has participated in legal and tax advisory and tax planning for companies from various sectors, including consumer goods, pharmaceutical, oil & gas, utilities and telecommunications.
* In 2005, José Andrés spent around one year working on the LATAM foreign tax desk in New York within Ernst & Young’s International Tax Department. During that time he supported significant global transactions for multinational companies.
* Jose Andrés is an attorney of Javeriana University, with LLM in Taxation at New York University, and Specialization in political and economical sciences at Notre Dame University.
* Jose Andrés is the president of the IFA Colombian chapter, professor of international tax in Javeriana University, Externado University and ICESI University, author of academic articles in several local and international tax publications, and lecturer in different tax congresses and seminars.
