Brussels Office Established

KŠB, together with leading Central European law firms, the Polish Wardýnski & Partners and the Slovak Èechová Rakovský, has established an office in Brussels. Andrea Löfflerová, an attorney from KŠB, works in the Brussels office and is, together with Jiøí Balaštík, entered in the list of foreign attorneys of the Brussels Bar Associations with the empowerment to provide legal services in Community Law. Senior attorney Morvan Le Berre, a specialist in European and Community Law, also works at the Brussels branch. In matters of legal representation of clients before European institutions, the Brussels office cooperates with the renowned London-based barrister office Brick Court Chambres.

KŠB established the Brussels branch with the objective to extend the services spectrum by legal assistance in the area of Community Law, and as of January 1, 2003 it began offering clients legal services in this area; in particular in the fields of economic competition, state aid, public orders, anti dumping and in particular regulated markets, primarily telecommunications, food industry, transportation, energy sectors, pharmaceutical industry and consumer goods industry.

KŠB provides consultancy connected with performance of the Europe Agreement - an agreement on an association concluded between the Czech Republic and the member states of the EU - and consultancy during implementation of national projects, i.a. in the area of agriculture, environment, infrastructure and R&D, co-funded by European Communities.

KŠB provides legal assistance in matters of Community Law not only at a theoretical level but also through legal representation of clients at European institutions, including representation in proceedings before the European Court of Justice and the Court of First Instance.
