Shepherd and Wedderburn elects new Chairman and promotes London corporate partner

Leading UK law firm Shepherd and Wedderburn has elected Corporate Head, James Will, to the role of Chairman with effect from 1 April 2010, succeeding Hugh Donald.

James has been a partner with the firm for over 20 years and has held a number of management positions including serving several terms on the partnership board.

James will continue to be an active partner in the firm's corporate team where he has built up a strong reputation and market-leading credentials, recognised by legal directory Chambers and Partners, which describes him as a “hugely experienced, superb lawyer with sound judgement.”

Corporate Partner Andrew Blain takes over as Head of Corporate.

The firm has also announced the promotion to partner of Guy Winter, in the London corporate team. Guy joined the firm in 2008 having previously worked at Linklaters, Shearman & Sterling and Speechly Bircham. Clients he acts for include Danaher Corporation, Biocompatibles International plc, ITT Corporation and FourWinds Capital Management.
