Formation of a joint venture by Wheelock Properties Limited and New World Development Company Limited for making successful tender offer to MTR Corporation Limited for the development of the Austin Station property

Deacons advised Wheelock and Company Limited and Wheelock Properties on compliance with the Listing Rules in relation to the formation of a joint venture company by Wheelock Properties and New World for making the successful tender offer to MTR for the development of the Austin Station property (the "Project"). Wheelock Properties and New World will, through the equally-owned joint venture company, jointly develop the Project at the total development cost of approximately USD1.5billion.
