Shepherd and Wedderburn advises qedi shareholders on sale to Amec

Leading UK law firm Shepherd and Wedderburn acted for the shareholders of qedi on the £33 million cash sale of the company to AMEC plc.

qedi is a market leading completions and commissions management company in the oil and gas sector, based in Aberdeen.

The deal, which involved co-ordinating foreign law input from various jurisdictions, including Mauritius, the USA, Kazakhstan and Dubai, took just five weeks to complete.

Corporate Partner Danny Lee led the team at Shepherd and Wedderburn, working with the Corporate Finance and Corporate Tax practices. He said: “This is an excellent deal for the qedi shareholders and provides the management team with a strong platform to take the business to the next level".
