Shepherd and Wedderburn advises ARCUS on Forth Ports takeover

Shepherd and Wedderburn has acted for Arcus Infrastructure Partners in its £760m takeover bid for Scottish ports operator Forth Ports. Arcus already holds a 22.8% stake in the company.

Andrew Blain, corporate partner at Shepherd and Wedderburn acted for Arcus, advising on Scottish elements of the deal, alongside Linklaters, which took the lead role for the acquirer.

The debt financing backing the deal was arranged and underwritten by a consortium of banks including JP Morgan, Royal Bank of Canada, Royal Bank of Scotland and Santander.
