Epm Ituango and Hidroituango Execute a Boomt Contract for the 2400 Mwhidroituango Project

Holguín Neira y Pombo Abogados and Chadbourne & Parke LLP have assisted EPM Ituango (EPM’s controlled SPV) in the negotiation and execution of a BOOMT Contract with Hidroituango S.A. E.S.P, for the Hidroituango Project. Brigard & Urrutia Abogados represented Hidroituango S.A. E.S.P. whose majority shareholder is the Antioquia Department.
The Hidroituango Project, a 2.400 MW hydropower facility, is expected to be the largest in Colombia and should begin operations in 2018. After its commercial exploitation by EPM Ituango, Hidroituango S.A. E.S.P. shall receive the operating facility in year 2061.
