New partners for Gianni, Origoni, Grippo, Cappelli & Partners

Paolo Bordi, Cristina Capitanio, Matteo Gotti and Stefano Grilli
are appointed as new partners

Rome, July 8th 2013 – Following the Partners’ meeting held today at Gianni, Origoni, Grippo, Cappelli & Partners, Paolo Bordi, Cristina Capitanio, Matteo Gotti and Stefano Grilli have been appointed new partners in the firm.

Paolo Bordi, a member of the Financial Markets department, specializes in corporate finance and equity capital markets. Paolo has gained a strong expertise in all the legal/regulatory matters concerning the banking/financial/investment services industries and the asset management business. After receiving his law degree from the University of Rome “La Sapienza” in 1999, he worked for a Law Firm specializing in financial markets and later as an officer in the legal department in Assogestioni, the Italian trade association of investment fund and portfolio managers. Paolo joined the firm in 2006.

Cristina Capitanio, a member of the Labour department, is an expert in employment law and specializes in both contentious and non-contentious matters. Cristina has developed particular expertise in drafting contracts, management agreements, restructuring and collective dismissals, incentive plans, transfer of undertakings and disciplinary actions. After receiving her law degree from LUISS – Guido Carli University in Rome in 1997, she earned her LL.M from the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, United States. Cristina joined the firm in 2007.

Matteo Gotti, a member of the Banking & Finance department, specializes in banking and finance, with specific focus on corporate finance, acquisition financing, debt restructuring, real estate financing and structured finance. Matteo advises domestic and international investment banks, private equity funds and companies in the implementation of domestic and cross-border transactions in all fields of Banking & Finance. He graduated in Law from the University of Rome “La Sapienza” in 1999 and joined the firm in 2008.

Stefano Grilli, a member of the Tax department, is an expert on all tax aspects regarding M&A deals as well as debt capital markets and equity capital markets transactions. Stefano advises domestic and multinational companies in corporate taxation, mergers and acquisitions, tax planning, transfer pricing issues and indirect taxes. He has also developed extensive experience in relation to tax litigation issues. After receiving an Economics degree from the University “Luigi Bocconi” of Milan he was awarded a Master’s degree (Adv. LL.M) in International Taxation from the International Tax Centre - Leiden University (Netherlands) where he currently lectures on European Union tax law and double tax treaty law. Stefano joined the firm in 2011 after having worked with a leading Italian tax law firm.
