Morgan & Morgan Receives Recognition for its Pro Bono Program

January, 2014 - Panama, Panama

It is with great pride that we announce that for the second year in a row the British publication Latin Lawyer has awarded us with the "Leading Lights" recognition in Latin America for our Pro Bono program. We were selected among the most important law firms in Latin America based on the institutionalization of the practice, its high standards and the active participation of lawyers.

Once again, Morgan & Morgan is the only Panamanian Law firm granted this important distinction, sharing the honor with 49 highly recognized firms in Latin America and around the world. Since the implementation of the Pro Bono program in 2011 , we have dedicated over 1,000 hours to Pro Bono cases with the active participation of 54 lawyers from the Morgan and Morgan Group, who have not only donated their knowledge, but also their time off work, mainly during "Legal Open Houses" . During 2013 we increased the number of open houses to two per month, giving the attorneys more opportunities to participate and fulfill the goal and commitment undertaken when signing the Pro Bono Declaration of the Americas.

We thank all those who, in one way or another, have contributed with their time, knowledge and experience allowing Morgan & Morgan to be recognized as a "Leading Light”. Through the Pro Bono program, the iconic and ecological MMG Tower, and publications in both local and international media, our group renews its commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility and positions its name as a leader in the international market.
