Krogerus advises Sweden-based Boliden on its acquisition of the Kevitsa mine for USD 712 million

Krogerus advised Boliden AB (publ) on the Finnish-law aspects of its acquisition of Kevitsa mine from First Quantum. The total consideration on a debt-free basis is USD 712 million in cash.

The Kevitsa nickel-copper-platinum group elements mine is located approximately 142 kilometres northeast of the city of Rovaniemi. In 2015, the mine processed roughly 6.7 million tonnes of ore.

Boliden is a metals company based in Sweden. Its shares trade on Nasdaq Stockholm.

The Krogerus team was led by partners Mika Ståhlberg and Sami Laine. They were primarily assisted by senior associates Kirsi Kannaste, Essi Launonen and Mikko Aaltonen and associate Hanna Tuominen.
