Gianni, Origoni, Grippo, Cappelli & Partners wins at the 2016 Legalcommunity Energy Awards

Milan, January 19, 2016 – The international law firm Gianni, Origoni, Grippo, Cappelli & Partners was a three time winner at the 2016 Legalcommunity Energy Awards which were held last night at the Diocesano Museum in Milan: The firm was awarded “Law Firm of the Year” in the “Oil & Gas” category, Francesco Puntillo picked up the “Restructuring Deal of the Year” award for the restructuring of Tirreno Power and Giuseppe Velluto won “International Deal of the Year” for the Dolphinus Holding deal.
In awarding these prizes, the jury - which included general counsel of leading energy companies as well as banks and financial advisors- stated:
- Law Firm of the Year in the Oil & Gas category: “The firm was a major player in some of the most important deals of the year in the oil & gas sector. According to clients, the team is characterized by its deep, hands-on knowledge of the field and for its multidisciplinary approach. - Restructuring Deal of the Year - Tirreno Power: “Many players on the field - among which legal, financial advisors and investment banks - for the restructuring of the financial indebtedness of Tirreno Power. A complex deal also very significant for its economic value.”
- International Deal of the Year - Dolphinus Holding: “The award for the only true deal of international significance was captured by the Italian law firm that assisted Dolphinus Holding in the underwriting of an over €1 billion value contract for supplying natural gas to the Egyptian market.”
