Gianni, Origoni, Grippo, Cappelli & Partners appoints 8 new partners

Rome, 7 July 2016 – Following the Partners’ meeting held on 4 July 2016, the law firm Gianni, Origoni, Grippo, Cappelli & Partners has made up 8 new partners: Stefano Ambrosioni, Nicola Boella, Gherardo Cadore, Raffaello Stefano De Marco, Davide De Rosa, Valentina Dragoni, Oriana Granato and Massimiliano Macaione. During the meeting Antonio Auricchio and Rosario Zaccà were confirmed in their roles as Managing Partners as were the members of the Executive and Compensation Committees.

Stefano Ambrosioni, 38, a member of the Corporate/M&A department, specialises in private and public M&A and corporate and commercial law, with a particular focus on the fields of insurance, wine, industrial, gaming and retail. He has wide experience in assisting Italian and foreign companies in acquisitions, joint-ventures, shareholders’ agreements and all kinds of commercial agreements. He joined the firm in 2001.

Nicola Boella, 44, a member of the Tax department, specializes in tax litigation. Nicola has extensive experience in handling proceedings before the various tax courts as well as negotiating out-of-court settlements and resolving disputes through ADR. He assists clients in tax audits and advises on both national and international tax issues. He is an expert in Trusts. He joined the firm in 2012.

Gherardo Cadore, 40, a member of the Corporate/M&A department, focuses on corporate and commercial law, including national and international contracts, with particular expertise in privatization transactions, acquisitions and takeover bids as well as general M&A, corporate finance, private equity and project financing. He joined the firm in 2001.

Raffaello Stefano De Marco, 40, a member of the Intellectual Property, IT and Media department, has extensive expertise in the intellectual property and information technology sectors, with particular emphasis on software and in general on trademarks, copyright, unfair competition, internet and new technologies such as e-commerce, ISP, IoT and cyber security, including complex court proceedings in these areas. He joined the firm in 2001.

Davide De Rosa, 43, a member of the Corporate/M&A department, is based in the firm’s Hong Kong office. Davide advises Italian and other foreign investors in their business transactions in Hong Kong, China, Europe and Italy. Qualified as a lawyer in both Italy and England & Wales, Davide acquired solid international expertise before joining the firm in 2015.

Valentina Dragoni, 41, a member of the Corporate/M&A department, specialising in M&A, LBOs, management buy outs and other corporate finance transactions carried out by private equity funds and other corporate clients in Italy and abroad, and provides general assistance on corporate and commercial matters. She joined the firm in 1999.

Oriana Granato, 38, a member of the Energy and Infrastructure department, focuses particularly on the financial aspects of project transactions in which she acts for lenders and sponsors. In the last few years she has been involved in the most important, and often first of their kind, transactions in Italy relating to renewable energy, hospitals, underground train networks, roads and motorways. She also has extensive experience in complex, cross-border acquisition and leveraged finance transactions. She joined the firm in 2006.

Massimiliano Macaione, 40, a member of the Corporate/M&A department, has significant experience in corporate, commercial law and commercial agreements with particular focus on the hospitality industry, having being involved in some of the most important M&A transactions of the last few years in this sector. He joined the firm in 1999.
