Profile
Herb is an attorney by education and very proud to be a Certified Financial PlannerTM Practitioner by profession.
He grew up in Philadelphia where he graduated from Drexel University with a B.S. in Commerce and Engineering in 1975, and Temple University – School of Law with a J.D. in 1979. He is admitted to the practice of law in Pennsylvania and Massachusetts.
Since joining Baystate Financial Services, LLC in January 1997, Herb is responsible for Estate and Business Planning where he provides custom case design and is also available on a consultation basis. His creativity, experience, and resourcefulness enable him to work very well with clients and their professional advisory team in order to implement responsive solutions for financial objectives.
Herb is very active in volunteer efforts in his community and the financial services industry. He is Past President of the Greater Boston Chapter of the International Association for Financial Planning (IAFP, now the Financial Planning Association – FPA) and served as a member of the CFP Board of Standard’s Board of Practice Standards and Board of Professional Review and the IAFP’s Ethics Committee.
He is a frequent contributor for LIFE & Health Advisor and is quoted frequently in several financial industry publications including Financial Planning, Investment Advisor and Ticker. His work has also appeared in the Boston Globe.
