Intensive legal practice for nearly 44 years, with the exception of the years of Cornell Law School and then as President of the Central Bank of Nicaragua. The experience includes legal services to the Government of Nicaragua in the negotiations on the external debt, with major commercial banks, the IDB, World Bank and IMF, as well as the Paris Club. In private practice as local counsel for major companies including large local and international companies such as:Wal-Mart, General Electric, Movistar, Isolux, Sony, Philip Morris, Caterpillar, Citi, GE Finance, the World Bank, Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), Central American Bank for Economic Integration (BCIE), local banks, Union Fenosa, Telefonica Movil, Cafe Soluble, Grupo Amanco. Lead counsel in all major privatization that took place in Nicaragua in the last fifteen years.
