Changes and Emerging Risks in the Healthcare Regulatory Environment: An Overview of Changes to the Stark Law and Other Federal Healthcare Regulations
Jason Mehta will be speaking on recent changes to the federal healthcare regulatory landscape. Specifically, Jason will discuss risks associated with the False Claims Act and the government's more recent aggressive enforcement efforts. Jason will offer attendees practical advice and guidance on how to minimize the risk of a government investigation and prosecution.
The Regulatory and Compliance seminar will focus on challenges the healthcare industry faces in trying to provide high quality services to patients. This is the eighth annual presentation of the program, and speakers will discuss current issues that keep healthcare lawyers up at night and in demand. The presentations will include discussions regarding privacy, information blocking, Stark and other fraud, waste and abuse laws, 2021 new Florida healthcare laws, COVID-19, and ethics.
