Brexit and Data Protection - Will There be Fireworks?

When

Thursday, November 5
15:00-15:45 GMT

1 January 2021 sees the biggest change in a generation to the Immigration Rules. It will basically bring EU/EEA nationals into line with non-EU nationals in respect of their ability to live and work in the UK.

5th November in the UK is Bonfire Night when we celebrate the defeat of an attempt to blow up Parliament in 1605. On this anniversary, we'll be discussing Brexit, the hot privacy topics involved and giving practical solutions to some of the burning questions, such as: what to do if there is no adequacy decision? Does the Schrems 2.0 decision cause explosions? Are new representatives needed in Europe? What about in the UK? What should you be doing about contracts? What about if you're a processor? What regulator should you involve?

To support our clients who need to transfer personal data internationally, Shoosmiths will be hosting a fireside chat to unravel the complexity of Brexit and what businesses should do next.

So that we can ensure the discussion is as useful and relevant as possible, please let us know any questions that you might have when completing the online RSVP form, by clicking here.
