Panel Presentation: Why are Law Firms Prime Targets of Cybersecurity Attacks: Need for Action

In this panel, we will focus on the exposure of law firms to potential cybersecurity attacks. In view of the preceding panel's conclusions on the threat of such attacks, we will discuss which specific internal and external measures can help law firms to mitigate the risk of becoming victims. In particular, we will cover key aspects such as client privilege, insider regulations, professional responsibility and criminal liability and the pros and cons of cyber risk insurances, ISO-certifications and the cloud for law firms. We will also look into how law firms can protect themselves against social engineering attempts.
